   SUCCESS STORIES

Amanda W. from TN

I have two success stories to share from one Ov-Watch! Trying to conceive was not as easy as I hoped when I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve - the precursor to premature ovarian failure - at age 31. I needed all the help I could get to determine if I was ovulating and when, even though there were no guarantees (and rather poor odds) of having healthy eggs. After several cycles of failures, I was fortunate to be a part of the "Pregnant in Three Months" Ov-Watch promotion but unfortunately had to redeem my 3 free sensors after using the watch for 3 cycles without success (although it worked perfectly and synced with my other ovulation predictor devices - I had a whole arsenal). Amazingly I defied the odds and got pregnant with my first free sensor! Here's my success story: I was a fertility patient taking Femara along with IUIs and trigger shots but was still using my Ov-Watch (even though I was told it wasn't necessary since they tracked my follicles with ultrasound and triggered ovulation with Hcg). A long-planned vacation with my extended family conflicted with my fertile period and anticipated ovulation - I was devastated. The fertility clinic cautioned that I would not make it back for the IUI before I ovulated and they could not monitor my follicles with ultrasound or give the trigger shot, but I continued to wear my Ov-Watch on vacation and stay positive. Lexie Ann at Ov-Watch recommended an IUI on Fertile Day 3 or 4 and not to wait until Ovulation Day 1. On Fertile Day 3, I got a + on a cheapie OPK stick and the fertility center said I wouldn't make it back in time but I begged to schedule the IUI for the next day. My husband and I flew home the following morning as previously planned and drove straight to the clinic to have the IUI on Fertile Day 4. My injectables class was scheduled for the following week so I could move forward with an aggressive treatment plan since everyone (including me) knew this cycle would be a bust. Sixteen days later I was ready to order $3000 in fertility injections in case my cycle started over the weekend. I decided to do one more pregnancy test so I could confidently order them before my period started - it was positive! Not only did I defy the odds for my condition, I also got pregnant after missing part of my treatments and barely making it to my IUI. Ov-Watch was right - the IUI on Fertile Day 4 was successful and I didn't miss my ovulation after all (and apparently didn't need the trigger shot)! But my Ov-Watch story doesn't end with my pregnancy. I had two extra free sensors left and let my friend borrow my Ov-Watch and use my sensors. Her cycles were long and irregular and after one cycle with the Ov-Watch she learned that she didn't ovulate until day 18 or 19 and 16 days later she just got a positive on a pregnancy test! It only took her one cycle with Ov-Watch and I still have an extra sensor left! I am now 7 months pregnant and she just found out she is pregnant - my Ov-Watch really is worth every penny! Thank you to everyone at Ov-Watch - miracles happen!
