One of the most frequent questions that we are asked are:
Why would the OV-Watch indicate my presumed days of ovulation so much earlier than the basal temperature and urine sticks did?
This precisely the reason that OV-Watch works when BBT and Urine sticks do not.
As most of your are well aware, temperature charting can only tell you that you have already ovulated. The egg is only viable
for a few hours after ovulation so, your chances of getting pregnant after ovulation, according to the latest clinical and
statistical reports is about 0%. According to a Fertility and Sterility report by Harrison, et all: "Fertilization of the human
egg needs to occur within 16 hours of ovulation, but may be optimal for only 2-6 hours". And according to Wilcox and Dunson in
the most well recognized study of our time, "Conception is possible from intercourse beginning 5 days before ovulation extending
through the day of ovulation". and " No conception have been documented on the day after ovulation."
Obstetrics and Gynecology made the statement in a 2001 article that "recent evidence indicates that temperature charting is
a highly inaccurate means to detect ovulation. The lowest point of the temperature and subsequent rise may occur up to 6
days before ovulation but can also be seen 4 days after ovulation when there is not chance of pregnancy.
With urine testing, you are able to find the presence of LH in your urine. Clinically, the LH surge comes 24 hours before
ovulation IN THE BLOOD STREAM. By the time the LH is detectable in the urine, it has been at least 6-12 hours and in some
cases FAR FAR longer. Even days. So, when you are testing using LH sticks, you are able to see IF there is a presence of
LH and from that, you assume that then you will ovulate in about 12-24 hours. However, that is not always the case." Urine
testing for the LH surge may miss ovulation in up to 1/3 of women and 1 in 10 women may see false positive results.
With OV-Watch, it is able to detect the chloride surge which comes 6 days before ovulation. IT is the earliest indicator of
fertility that a woman has. IT is not affected or disrupted by hormone levels or temperature as it is an electrolite surge
of sorts and so, it is more reliable as an early detector of fertility. THAT is why you were able to detect your fertility
earlier than with the urine sticks and certainly with BBT.

Our newest OV- Watch baby, Hayden, pictured here with our OV-Watch cover baby, Reese, who is now 3!
Success at 43!
I have a great story! I first tried to conceive at about age 32 and after years of no success I tried IVF 3 times failed. Adopted a wonderful
set of boy/girl twins at age 33. Wouldn't you know at 41 I became pregnant with 1st biological child (total surprise). I was never diagnosed
with any fertility issue it just had never happened. Well after giving birth12/11/06 to beautiful healthy baby girl. I immediately went on
pill for few months. After my father in law was diagnosed with another brain tumor and was given 18 months to live I immediately went off
pill in August of 2007. Unfortunately we lost my wonderful father in law Oct 2007 and I tried from August till Feb with no success. I saw a
ad in People Magazine and ordered immediately I used watch religiously and wouldn't you know the 3rd month I became pregnant at 43 years of
age. My friends and family can not believe that it worked they are familiar with my past and how many years of unsuccessful attempts at having
a child of my own. I am going to my first ob appointment end of next week and I am going to promote your watch to my doctor. I know first hand
what the odds of over 40 to get pregnant and I STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT 100 PERCENT.
Sincerely, Pattie B.
Success Two Times!
My first OV-Watch baby was conceived 2/06. It took us 18 months of trying and only my second month using OV-Watch! I'd read just about every
pregnancy book out there, tried every diet, herbal and vitamin supplement, sought numerous alternative treatments, and of course had spent
hundreds of dollars in ovulation predictor kits. Nothing worked. Around 13 months I went to see a reproductive endocrinologist. My husband and
I both checked out fine. They said we had unexplained infertility. It ultimately meant that they didn't know why we weren't conceiving. That is
about the time I found the OV Watch in a magazine. I ordered it. My husband also convinced me to go back to the RE to start on Clomid, and IUI,
which I did. The OV Watch was dead on with what our doctors said my ovulation date was. However, it showed more fertile days than just the one
time we did the IUI at the doctor's office. So, we kept active during the whole window on our own. My second cycle of the OV Watch, Clomid and
IUI and I was pregnant. I truly believe the OV watch increased our chances because we kept having intercourse. I conceived #2 4/08 all on our
own. We decided not to seek any help right away. We started trying 1/08, however we didn't time it. We just stopped using protected and hoped
for a happy accident. Two months later I ordered refills on my OV Watch. We kept active during my fertile window and 2 months later I was
pregnant again. I couldn't believe it. This time around it was almost effortless! I am a 100% believer in OV Watch, and I've told many other
women about it.
Best, Rebecca
