How accurate is the monitor as a fertility predictor?

OV-Watch clinical testing for FDA clearance was conducted by Duke Clinical Research Institute. For the primary endpoint of the study, accuracy of prediction of ovulation, OV-Watch was deemed “substantially equivalent” to LH testing and outperformed BBT. However, more important to finding your greatest probability of conceiving- finding your full fertile window- OV-Watch® provided up to 4 days notice prior to ovulation as compared to BBT, which provides no advanced notice of ovulation, and up to 4 days prior to ovulation, as compared to LH urine kits that provide only hours before ovulation. Sandra Ann Carson, the President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine stated, “Although LH peaks accurately detect ovulation, they do not identify the pre-ovulatory fertile period.
